W środę 7 lutego 2024 odbyło się uroczyste otwarcie wystawy w Żydowskim Muzeum Galicja. Była to europejska premiera tej wystawy, która przyciągnęła liczną publiczność. Wśród gości byli przedstawiciele dyplomacji Konsul Generalna Republiki Słowackiej Zlata Šipošová, Konsul Generalny Austrii Martin Gärtner oraz Attaché Tamás Viczián z Konsulatu Generalnego Węgier w Krakowie.


W czasie otwarcia przemawiali dyrektor Żydowskiego Muzeum Galicja Jacek Stawiski i Anna Wencel - współkuratorka wystawy. Katarzyna Suszkiewicz, kierowniczka działu edukacji, odczytała także listy od współkuratorki Alexandry Patrikiou oraz od Fabiana Rühle - dyrektora Centropy i współautora wystawy.


Zaraz po otwarciu wystawy Anna Wencel oprowadziła po niej gości. Wystawa wzbudziła bardzo duże zainteresowanie i została bardzo dobre przyjęta, można było usłyszeć wiele pozytywnych uwag ze strony publiczności, w tym przedstawicieli korpusu dyplomatycznego.
