On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the exhibition opening ceremony took place at the Galicia Jewish Museum. It was the European premiere of this exhibition, which attracted a large audience. The guests included diplomatic representatives: Consul of Slovakia Zlata Šipošová, Consul of Austria Martin Gärtner and Attaché Tamás Viczián from the Consulate General of Hungary in Krakow.
Jacek Stawiski, director of the Galicia Jewish Museum, and Anna Wencel, co-curator of the exhibition, spoke during the opening. Katarzyna Suszkiewicz, head of the education department, also read letters from co-curator Alexandra Patrikiou and from Fabian Rühle - director of Centropa and co-author of the exhibition.
Immediately after the opening of the exhibition, Anna Wencel showed the guests around. The exhibition aroused great interest and was very well received, with many positive comments from the audience, including representatives of the diplomatic corps.
